Ok so being volumptuous has its challenges…

One I recently had to face was buying a swimsuit. I have promised my girls a vacation to the beach this summer and I am not going to be wearing shots and a tshirt while there! So I set out to find me an affordable, sexy swimsuit.

New York’s Full-Figured Fashionistas Now Have a Boutique to Call Their Own

Wednesday, May 02, 2007……….Join us on Saturday, May 5th, 2007 from 1pm – 8pm for the Grand Opening Celebration of Lee Lee’s Valise, a boutique which only caters to the fashion conscious average-sized American Woman (12 – 24).

Well I have to say that I am super excited! For the last couple years I have been driving about an hour or so to go shopping for my clothes. Well when I have the extra spending money that is.

My favorite store is Lane Bryant. They have fabulous clothes…that FIT! The closest one was an hour away though.

We recently, and still in progress, had a new 725,000 square foot strip mall built in our town. Lots of new stores…none of which carry plus-size clothing…Well the other day I was going to lunch with a girlfriend and as I was sitting at the red light, what did I see? As frustrated as I have been lately with shopping locally, I have been surfing the Internet to locate a few really great resources for shopping online.

I think it is so important to be able to find what you feel good in, without having to go through the crap of finding it in a local store that doesn’t carry your size! If you are like me, in the end..You feel worse than what you did before you went shopping! (more…)

I received this in my email from an affiliate program that I am a member of and I have to say…I like their site a lot! There is nothing worse than going to a site for ‘plus-size’ and none of the models are above a size 10! It kills me! I would like to see how it would look on me…not the model that lives down the street.

Now not all of their products are for Plus-size but the ones that are, are actually modeled by plus size women. Just a fore-warning, some of their lingerie is a bit revealing, as are their models..

I found this article and had to post it because man it hits the nail right on the head! I buy 95% of my clothes online from Plus-Size Retailers. I rarely have ever had to return something. It seems when you buy something from a Retailer/Designer that deals mainly in the Plus-Size market, their clothes actually fit the way they are supposed to!
