The exciting collaboration of Dawn Martin (Just Dazzlind Productions), Angela Pugh( A&D Marketing Concepts), and Ms. Big & Beautiful 2007 Shawana Owens, introduces the first ever International Pageant “Ms. Platinum Plus International”.

Ms. Platinum Plus International will represent all Full Figure Women of the World by setting a standard for Professionalism, Empowerment, Beauty, and of course Education. The winner of Ms. Platinum International will not only become a Positive Platform for all young women that have always dreamed of being a Princess, but will show the world that Curvaceous Women have a voice on all things happening in the world. The team will be focusing on giving back to our global communities as well as here in the United States. First using her title as a Spokes Model for issues such as Global Warming and Educating all Children on health and wellness. Ms. Platinum Plus will also facilitate several workshops that focus on Building Self Esteem and Personal Growth. We are encouraging all Plus Size Divas Size 12w-22w to compete for this prestigious Honor.

Ms. Platinum Plus is also looking for State Delegates to hold Preliminary Contests to find the perfect representative for their State, or Country. The dead line for all preliminaries is November 1, 2008. The Pageant will take place in March 2009 in Orlando, Florida. Those interested in being a Contestant can register at www.msplatinumplus.com.

I sooo dread this time of year! LOL I love it, yet hate it all at the same time! I need a new swimsuit but dread having to pick one out!

I found this cute one on Torrid.com If you go to Swimsuits it’s the blue and black polka dot one. I just can’t decide if I really want that one or not…LOL Do I want anymore ‘dots’ on me?

Any ways, I am counting the days down to my vacation at the beach! I think we are at 22 days and counting! Woot Woot! I will be spending a full glorious week on the beach doing nothing but sipping margarita’s! I love being able to take my work with me! LOL

Sorry to all of my readers for not keeping up with the monthly diva contest! I have been so busy with school and work that I haven’t had a lot of time to post! I will get my butt in gear though!

Man it has been crazy! We just recently got back from a week in Orlando. We took our girls to Disneyworld, Seaworld and Busch Gardens. It was soooo much fun! I think I need a vacation from our vacation!!!

Since I was gone and have been super busy, I haven’t had a lot of time to promote this months contest. I will get back on track and start working on it again though!

On a good note, I have been feeling great lately! I’ve managed to quiet that negative voice and have been feeling sexy and confident! I have even started swimsuit shopping! LOL I dread swimsuit shopping!

I just wanted to drop in and say hello to all of my readers and pass on a little good cheer! Post when you can!

It’s a little late in the month, but I am finally getting ready for the next contest. If you are a plus size woman looking to be a positive voice for other plus size ladies, or you design a clothing line geared towards plus size women, you are a model or want to be and you want to get your voice out there, enter the Featured Plus Size Diva of the Month Contest!

I am sure some of you are wondering why no March Featured Diva has been put up. I notified the contestant, but have not heard back and although there were some great entries, I want to give the winner their page at the beginning of each month so I did not select another.

I am asking that if you enter the contest and are notified that you are the winner, to be please get back to me within 2 days, even if it’s just to say you got the notification and will get back to.

Ladies, your entries have been phenomenal and I look forward to getting them because each of you have been special and inspiring!

I wanted to jump on here as I have been super busy lately and say ‘hello’ to all my blog friends! I have been super busy with work, school and my family. I have lots I want to post!

I was driving down the road the other day and I started thinking…kind of a scary thing to do while you’re driving..lol I started thinking about where I have been and where I am now and all of the bumps along the way. One thing that I am fully aware of is that I am an emotional eater..when I am upset, stressed, depressed etc..I turn to my kitchen. I always have…but what got me thinking is why. I think the why is so important. What I mean is, this is a habit that I want, need to break. (more…)
