My name is LaDawn. I’m 29 and have been considered bigger most of my life. I’ve never been ’skinny’ and have always gotten compliments along the lines of ‘you are so pretty if only you’d lose some weight’. This is more of an insult than it is a compliment so if you are guilty of this, don’t say it anymore.
I have my good days and my bad days. There are days that I feel as beautiful as can be, and then there are days where I am hard on myself and would like to slink away. I am on a journey of self acceptance, and learning to tell the world that it’s ok to not fit in their box of normality.
This blog is for myself and every plus size woman out there that has been in my shoes!
