Have You Watched “More to Love”?

  • Posted on August 12, 2009 at 12:51 pm

I’m just curious if anyone of you have watched the “Plus Size” or “regular” version of the Bachelor? You know I say Yay for the station picking up a show that has some curvy women on it. I think it’s great.

BUT, and this is a HUGE but…After watching this show for the last couple weeks I have found that I can’t stand the women! What makes it so bad is that I made a comment to my husband and he said I do it too….

Let me tell you what I am talking about…These women are not ugly by any means, some of them are quite beautiful. But it seems that most of them have 1) Never dated 2) Are Virgins 3) Completely and totally insecure.

Look I don’t have a problem with waiting til you get married to have sex, good for you if you make this choice, not my point here.

These women are so insecure with themselves that they haven’t done anything in their lives. I find this hard to believe because as big as I am, and yes I sport a 22, so I’m not a borderline Plus Size lady here, I got curves on top of curves…but any ways as big as I am, I get hit on.

Ladies get over the fact that you are big! You are on the show to find love, your weight ain’t got shit to do with it!

This is what I realized I do….ready?

When there is a gorilla in the room, do you point it out? Continuously? Do you bring it up in conversation when it has nothing to do with the conversation? I was watching the show last night and told my husband OMG, why do they keep bringing up their weight when they are on their date? Or even in just normal conversation.

He says to me, Umm..honey, you do it too. I’m like no I don’t. He said yes, actually you do. You make comments about your size in general conversations. I started thinking about it and I realized I DO THAT! I HATE IT!

So I am now going to make a conscious effort to STOP because it is completely annoying!

Ladies, if you are like me and have curves and have a bit of weight (hell, even if it’s not just a ‘bit’) be confident in who you are and stop pointing it out because it’s a bigger deal to you than it is to everyone else.

We are beautiful whether we feel it every day, or just some days…we all have our good days and our bad and it’s important that we love ourselves and to hell with everyone else!

Be BIG, BEAUTIFUL and BOLD!
