Congratulations to….

Clanethia!!!

After much debate, going back and forth over the first round of submissions, of which I would have easily picked the first 6 Featured Plus-Size-Divas, I have selected Clanethia as the 1st Featured Plus-Size-Diva!

Congratulations!!!

Clanethia’s entry was inspiring! I can’t wait to get her page up! Stay tuned! I will make an announcement when it’s ready!

Please re-enter the contest, which I will be posting shortly, if you did not win! It was so close and there were so many great entries!

Stay tuned!!!

Hello my name is Clanethia and I am a Plus Size Diva. To some of you who read this I believe we can definitely relate to each other. I have for years hidden who I was because of my weight. Wore clothing that was not flattering tried to hide behind anything and everything. As time went on and days past I realized If I don’t have confidence in me who will. Each day after the epiphany. I would say something positive to myself in the mirror such as you look beautiful today or I really like that outfit you have on. I know this may sound somewhat weird but we have to take responsibility for who we are and not allow others to define us. This change took some time to acheive. It’s not something that happens over night. You have to be committed to yourself and your feelings. Once you build or re-build yourself up, no one can take that away from you, despite what they may say. Remember this people will talk about you until the day you die. Regardless if it’s something positive or negative, but for us it’s normally negative. It’s not our job to correct people, who probably 10-1 have self-esteem issues themselves. They automatically assume because we are plus size women that there’s something missing. We are not in-human we have feelings just as anyone else. To all my plus size diva’s define who you are. Make your mark in this world be radiant, beautiful, and poised because that’s who we really are. Beauty!!!!!!
