(Dayton, Ohio) Just Dazzlind Productions has taken the Diva in Me Conference on the road! The conference entitled “Diva in Me” is geared to inspire full figured women who want to become professionals in the fashion industry with more confidence, knowledge and marketability through a series of professional trainings and networking sessions. The conference next stop is Chicago, IL. October 12-14, 2007 at the Holiday Inn- Oakbrook. This is one of the many stops on the ten city wide tour.

The conference goals are to uplift, empower, enhance and represent all plus size women who want to enter into the modeling world. Over the course of the weekend the conference will host detailed workshops on plus size modeling, spiritual awareness, financial success, self imagery, nutrition and runway walking. Within the event a fabulous fashion show is revealed with some of the conference participants. I have decided to join the gym. We are planning a trip to Disney World next year and I don’t want to have to worry about not being able to get on the rides with my girls. I find that I don’t do a lot of things because I worry that I am to big and would have to suffer the embarrassment of having to get off, or leave.

I love being curvy and thick. I don’t want to be small…I just want to be a bit healthier. Over the last couple years my weight has really went up and I realize that I need to watch it because of the health concerns that come with it. My family is plagued with Diabetes. Not something I want to contend with.

This is going to be a heck of a battle…but I know in the end it will be worth it. All part of this journey back to finding me. This is just one of those struggles that we all have to deal with…

I always try to do my best and stay positive about who I am. Some days it’s just to hard. Some days I feel like I am lying to myself about feeling ok with my weight, while other days, I do feel great.
